Mission Statement
Fedamore Community Council aims to up-hold the dignity of the individual, by fair, just and equitable means, through the development of the wider community within its remit, by striving to work in co-operation with the members of the wider community, with the voluntary groups within the local community and with state agencies who provide aid for community development.
The Origins of Fedamore Community Council
A new community Council was established in Fedamore in April 2005 after a Steering Committee had begun the procedure in the autumn of 2004. The Council is made up of 19 members. 14 of these are elected and represent 7 designated parish areas. The remaining 5 members represent different organisations in the Parish. Fedamore Community Council is affiliated to Minter Na Tire.
Meetings are held once a month with an AGM every year and elections every 3 years.
The Aims Of Fedamore Community Council:
- The Community Council wants to support all existing voluntary organisations in our parish.
- The Council will create community awareness in Fedamore and hopefully help to obtain improved services and funding for the parish.
- A main aim of the Council is to keep the parishioners informed regularly and comprehensively of their ongoing efforts to fulfil their duties on the Community Council.
- Updated information and announcements will be conveyed by Community Council News Letter, Fedamore notes in the Limerick leader and all the usual methods of accessing parish news.
