Chairperson: H. Condon
Secretary: T. O’Mahony
Treasurer: B. Griffin.
Committee: Nora O’Regan, Denis Carmody, Tom Mulcahy, Tom Murphy & Denis Ryan.
The AGM of Fedamore Community Council will take place during March 2015. All residents of Fedamore/Carnane are requested to attend. It’s your Community and the Community Council can only function if people living in Fedamore/Carnane participate. The Community Council was established in 2005, is affiliated to Muintir Na Tire and had nineteen members during its first three year cycle. The number of active members has now fallen to eight and this is not sufficient to maintain the Community Council. Over its nine years in existence the Community Council has been involved with Ballyhoura Development Ltd. and Limerick County Council, in improving facilities and amenities in the Village and surrounding Parish. A little effort by many can make discernable change and ensure that the Community thrives. Otherwise, ignore what goes on around you and do nothing for your Community.

Community Area Townlands
- Fedamore Village – Fedamore, Castlequarter, Ballyea, Boolavourd, Mortgage.

- Skule and Grange Skule, Skule Hill, Rockstown, Grange, Friarstown Grange.
- Ballinagarde Cloughadoolarty, Loughlinstown, Williamstown, Ballinagarde.
- Carnane Arywee, Carnane.
The Council is made up of 14 members, 2 elected from each of the 7 parish areas and 5 more nominated by Community Groups, making a total of 19. Everybody over 18 and resident in the parish is entitled to vote. Everybody will be provided with voting slips. As well as voting there is a provision for you to list the issues you would like the Community council to address, in the coming three year period. So all you have to do is just vote for 2 people, who are resident in your area that you want to represent you on the Community Council for the next 3 years. The two persons with the highest number of votes will be elected. There is no obligation on the person elected to be a Community Council member and can feel free to say yes or no. In the event of any person saying no, we move on to the person with the next highest vote and we continue the procedure until the position is filled. This was the procedure adopted in previous elections and it was very satisfactory. Outgoing members can be re-elected to the new Community Council. We will call to collect your votes within 7 to 10 days of voting slips being distributed.

Spring Clean
Organised with the Cooperation of Limerick County and City Council and An Taisce, takes place during March/April. However, littering continues throughout the year. The Community Council appeals to all householders to clean a section of roadway adjacent to their property. Most litter consists of drink cans and plastic bottles which are recyclable items. This year, Limerick TLC are organising a cleanup on the 3rd April. The Community Council intends to participate in this clean up.

Fedamore/Carnane Socio Economic Plan 2011/2016
This plan forms the basis for Community Council activities throughout its three year period of office.
Ballyhoura District.
Since the AGM and Elections for the St. Albies-Maigue district on the 14th May 2014, the representatives at the Community Forum for Fedamore Community Council are Denis Carmody and Denis Ryan. The Chairperson of the St. Albies-Maigue District is Brigid Hayes from Meanus. The main topic at recent meetings is the imposition of the Socio-Economic Committee between Ballyhoura Development and the source of funding. Most Community Councils favour the status quo and fear that the new system would be too bureaucratic. However we will have to wait and see how the
Public Participation Network will operate and what will be the benefits for local democracy.

Community Alert
